painter Ion Andreescu was was born in the year 1850 in Bucharest and died only 32 years
later in the same city.

Like the painter Nicolae Grigorescu, he passed also through Barbizon.
He left after him wonderful landscapes and portraits. Some of them can be admired on this page.
Stefan Luchian was born at Stefanesti (near Botosani) in 1868 and died, fully paralyzed, in Bucharest, in 1916. He was the painter of the most beautiful flowers ever in the Romanian art. See below some extracts of his wonderful work.
